Ofsted…life goes on

With all of the fuss surrounding a Good Ofsted judgement it is easy to forget that things carry on, our students continually strive to be the best and our community continues to support us. Thank you for all of your messages of congratulations.

Back to business. I just wanted to take a brief moment to update you on some of the incredible things our year 12 students are doing. It’s an important time for them and many are exploring their options beyond Forge. Many students may look to continue their studies at University and we will support their applications and wellbeing when the time comes. I’d like to congratulate the following students for going above-and-beyond in their thirst for knowledge and for representing Forge with pride and ambition.

  • Laheba Rawdah and Halima Sultana were both accepted onto to the CUSU programme which is where students go to University of Cambridge for a few days and shadow a student.
  • K-Ryan Hinds went to a physics study day at University of Oxford and has a place on the Sutton Trust Summer School at Durham University.
  • Memory Bhunu has been offered a place on UNIQ summer school at University of Oxford.
  • Seren Gelencer, Hinna Awan and Laheba Rawdah have all got a place at Nottingham Potential – a summer school at University of Nottingham.

I’m sure that you’ll join me in wishing success upon all of our students, in everything they do.
