The study of Geography is to inspire students to become responsible global citizens; developing an understanding and appreciation of the diverse physical and human elements of the world around them. Students should be adept at using key geographical skills in various scenarios and across all topics in the geography curriculum.
have an understanding of where their perceptions of place come from and be able to analyse how accurate this representation is through the study of the continent of Africa. Students should also develop their understanding of polar regions and why they are so cold as well as comparing the extreme polar and tundra environments to those in the UK and Africa.
