It is the intention of the mathematics curriculum to promote deep learning of mathematics and develop students into mathematicians. Concepts are covered at a steady pace and in detail, and all students build on prior learning as they progress through the schemes of work. The Big Ideas will be referred to throughout the schemes of work, helping students to make links and connections between topics, and understanding the key concepts that form the foundation of each topic.
